You have no idea how happy this improvement would make me.Ģ. A rolling average makes a lot of sense since water temperatures simply can’t change dramatically that fast. It looks like it samples the temperature every 8 seconds - don’t need to change that, just average the last few temperatures (perhaps the last 4). 5 degrees makes a huge different in a pool! It also makes the graph very noisy and hard to read. If you watch the temps over a minute, the highest and lowest can be 4-5 degrees apart. Implement temperature rolling average - The temperature readings have a lot of jitter. Two feature requests that would take the app from good to amazing:ġ. The new UI looks great - awesome work guys! I opened the app today and my jaw dropped. As I understand from Pentair there is no such backup/restore function currently. This issue is reproducible by Pentair tech support using their iPhone with remote access to my system.)Īs an aside, I would also like to be able to back up all the screen logic screen and adapter board settings to a backup file for restore everything in case of screenlogic equipment replacement. (edit) ( Note, I can see the proper color controls when I connect to my pool using an Ipad with this app, so I think it is an issue with the iPhone or IphoneX version.
PENTAIR SCREENLOGIC TROUBLESHOOTING PC
So I need to go to my pc or mobile touch controller to activate color motion. The current app seems to have a bug on the iPhone or iPhoneX - the lighting control screen (color synch, color control, etc) does not show properly on the iPhone. The newest app version adds super chlorinate control and intellipump controls. With that being said, I agree with other reviews that request additional features. I now use mobiletouch2 primarily for setup of pump, valve, etc. The pool, spa, heater, and light controls are conveniently arranged on the app for quick access. I find the screenlogic and this app to be more convenient to use on a daily basis than my mobiletouch2. I can start the pool manually with the app, but I really don’t want to have to do that on a daily basis.
I’ve tried repeatedly to add a schedule, but it isn’t working. Recently I deleted our current schedule because we had to run the pump continuously to circulate chemicals. We have had issues trying to use the schedule feature since we bought the pool less than 1 year ago. We may have been told that when the pool was set up, but there was so much information given to us when we started the pool up it wasn’t something we remembered. This is not the fault of the app, but the system. I had too many items scheduled (egg times do count as a program). I have the automated system called a easytouch psl4 and that system has a maximum 4 programs available to it. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the system is limited. Everything has been fixed and the schedule is running as it should be. I’ve been in touch with Chris and he has been VERY responsive. I’ve increased my star rating from a 2 to a 4. Now that I re-updated my protocol adapter (again, with the same version it was already running), the iPhone app is back to the normal colors.IF you have a problem please contact Chris! He will help. There had recently been an app update, so I thought that was something they changed. My iPhone app was connecting, and showed many of the parameters, but it didn't show history and colors had changed to some weird translucent purples and stuff. AND, like others have said, my app on my iPhone WAS working (sorta -more on that in a minute), so I too, thought there was nothing wrong with the protocol adapter. OH, I'm using an iMac, so mine had nothing to do with Windows.
PENTAIR SCREENLOGIC TROUBLESHOOTING UPDATE
(Sometimes not tidying up DOES pay off!) I deleted the file I just downloaded and ran the update from the one I downloaded in September and everything is back to normal. Interestingly, the file I downloaded from Pentair to attempt this would not work (something about read only permissions or something like that), so I checked and found that I still had the file in my downloads folder from last September when I originally did the update. I just wanted to add that this worked for me too (today, August 12, 2017) even though mine too was already running the latest version.
